The Salkantay Trek 4 Days / 3 Nights is one of the most spectacular walks that can be done in Cuzco. In it you will enjoy such beautiful landscapes and snowy mountains, Andean landscapes, tropical forests and even dense jungle. 4:30 in the morning Pick up from the Hotel, we will start our tour by tourist bus passing through high Andean villages, at approximately 8:00 a.m. we will arrive at Mollepata, where we will have a delicious breakfast, it is from this point where we will start our salkantay trek to reach sayllapata, place where we will have lunch with a spectacular view of the snowy apu umantay, we will continue our walk towards soraypampa, from this point we can see to Apus Salkantay and Humantay, approximately 17: 000 pm We will arrive at Soraypampa, place of our first camp (3800 masl or 24,671ft), where we will camp.
This day we will pass at the foot of the Apu Salkantay, we will see the lovely geography area just below us. In the place called Salkantay Pass we will have an Inca Ceremony, through which We will Request the Permission to pass and have a fabulous and unforgettable trip. This Ceremony is known as Payment to the Earth or Pachamama (Jaywarikuy), we will have lunch at the point called wayramachay, We will begin to descend towards Challhuay. Following the course of the Salkantay river, at this point we will have the opportunity to see the most beautiful Andean landscapes, in this place we will camp. (2900 masl approx.)
The road is already more stable, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the landscape that hides this part, the Andean High Forest makes our trip more unforgettable, we can appreciate numerous species of flowers, ferns, birds of different colors, we will have the opportunity to taste some Fruits like Granadilla, Orange, Banana among others.
After Lunch in the Sector called the Beach, we will depart to Hidroelèctrica, then continue towards Machu Picchu Pueblo passing through Mandor and its Waterfall, where we will spend the night in a Comfortable Hotel. At Night we take the Opportunity to visit the Hot Springs of the Town. Optional night visit to the hot springs of the town of Aguas Calientes "payment for admission fee $ 4 dollars on admission".
(6:00 am) After breakfast we take the bus that will take us to the Inca city of Machu Picchu, we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours visiting the most important enclosures, then you can explore the mysterious Inca citadel on your own. If you still have energy you can also climb the mountain of Huayna Picchu (2720m / 8923ft)! It takes 45 minutes to reach the top, this ride is additional and optional but it is really worth climbing. Finally we take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes depending on the schedule of your train.
Return train to Ollantaytambo. Expedition service (to Ollantaytambo) and bus Cusco. We will be in Cusco at approximately 10:30 p.m.
