An ancient and remote path, this Combo Salkantay to Inca Trail is the most complete since it joins two excursions into one as it begins throughout the area called Salkantay and then enters the Sacred Inca Trail that connects to the lost City of the Incas, Machupicchu, for those who are looking for a complete alternative. Itinerary

Day 01: Cusco – Mollepata – Challacancha

We pick you up from your hotel at 6:00 am to start our Combo Salkantay to Inca Trail with a trip to Mollepata – this is where we meet our rider and mules to start our trek. We walk around 3 hours to get to the place of our lunch and camping (Challacancha 3500m). From here, we have magnificent views of the Huamantay mountain, which is more than 5750 meters from a night here.

Day 02: Challacancha – Soraypamapa-Salkantaypampa

We have breakfast and then we start walking towards Soraypampa for 03.00 hours (3800M). This point has stunning views of the snowy Humantay (5917msnm) and Salkantay (6271m). Here we have lunch and a rest. Then we go to the mountain about an hour to visit the Humantay lagoon and then continue until we reach Salkantaypampa located at a height of 4100.msnm Our camp.

Day 03: Salkantaypampa-Incachiriaska-Pampacahuana

Very early for breakfast and then start our walk towards the Incachiriaska height pass. 5228 m. This is the highest point of our walk and from here; We have a magnificent view of the Salkantay mountain or “wild” mountain (6271 m) and small lakes that are at the base of the imposing Snowy. There is also the opportunity to see wild rabbits and other typical animals native to the Peruvian Andes – llamas, guanacos and vicuñas. After reaching the pass, we will descend to Sisaypampa for lunch and then continue along a quiet path to reach the Pampacawana community (4000m) where we will camp. I spent the night.

Day 04: Pampacahuana-Wayllabamba-Llulluchapampa

After breakfast we start walking through a beautiful valley where we can observe the Andean flora and fauna to the archaeological site ‘Paucarcancha’ where we have a guided tour and lunch, here we say goodbye to our knight, and this part of The way we use porters (Carrier Law and Inca Trail) follow the path until we reach Llulluchapampa (3850 12,631 meters) camping. Day 05: Lluchapampa-Pacaymayo-Chaquicocha

After breakfast, we start a climb to the Wuarmihuañusca pass (called “Paso de la Mujer Muerta”, due to its image from a distance), which is 4,200 m. From here, we will have an impressive view of the great Inca Trail. Then we descend to Pacamayu for lunch. After a break, we climb the mountain to visit the archaeological site of ‘Runcuracay’ and reach Runkurakay pass (4000m). Where we will have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and from here start a descent with a beautiful landscape to the Inca site ‘Sayacmarca’. Day 06: Chaquicocha-Phuyupatamarca-Wiñaywayna

Here we have a beautiful sunrise, after breakfast start walking towards Wiñaywayna. On the way we pass through the archeological sites of ‘Phuyupatamarca’ (‘City of Clouds’) and ‘Intipata’. To reach Wiñaywayna (2680m. Place the field here after lunch and a short rest visit the archeological site of the same name “Wiñaywayna” (“Forever Young”). Accommodation.

Day 07: Wiñaywayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco

This last day we will have breakfast very early (4.00 hours). And then go to the control that opens at 5.30 in the morning, from this point, start walking on 01.30. Hrs to the “Inti Punku” (Puerta del Sol) (2730 m). From this place you will have the first view from Machu Picchu (2400m) and the sunrise over it! After a while there, we walked the last part of the trip to the place where you can take the classic photo (postal photo). Finally, we visit Machu Picchu.

The guide will offer a visit (approximately 2 hours) and after that, you have free time to explore the city and if you still have energy, you can also climb the Huayna Picchu mountain (2720m). It takes 45 minutes to reach the top.

To return to Aguas Calientes you have 2 options, on foot or by bus (optional), where you will meet your return guide for lunch and receive your train ticket to return to the city of Cusco. Here is the end of the Combo Salkantay to Inca Trail.
